When the show was adapting the shit from the books it was peak Scott Pilgrim
But then it started doing its own thing and it was super dissapointing
Villian was ass
Scott and his develoment is basically gone
But the animation was great
As its own thing its actually good, but as an adaptation of Scott Pilgrim it is really bad.

i understand the hate for the bait and switch but i personally loved it, like if any comic doesn't need a one to one adaptation, its Scott, just due to how it is rly perfect for the format, and i mean the anime is called scott pilgrim takes off, and everyone wanted romona character growth and we got that, i respect hating the bait and switch but imo better than movie.
I like the anime more now it grew on me but they could’ve advertised it better
