@TotallyNotSandNG hm... well some people have this mindset of following people to get follow back, i did got some friends like that, i like to help people, supporting their works and ting. We are all small artists we can help each others, like the king of the kings said "you shall serve to be served". It's not like you're going to actually get famous like that, even if you follow 10000 people and they follow you back still 10000 people following you as favor is not enough to do it. Many of them won't actually enjoy your art neither buy you comissions or anything.
There are small artists with the wrong mindset, he is small, he have few to no followers, he still a beginner at drawing or at the best at the intermediate level, he have no fanbase but still he is going on stupid quarrelings and fights with other small artists. They both small, they both beginners, they both have no fanbase, but still they find a way to try to destroy each other. While everything is already too hard for the beginners they waste time trying to destroy his similar. While the right mindset is to the beginners artists try to help each others

@TotallyNotSandNG it's one of the things beginner artists can do to get followers, it's not like beginners have many options (just try thinking about them). Having a higher quantity of followers is good for some reasons, many people looks at your followers quantity, views and score and it says to them "respect him and respect his art". Also if you try to make a deal with an artist with a high quantity of followers he will look at your profile and see how many followers you have and he will think to himself "hm... this guy has a good quantity i'm gonna check out what he got to say he must know what he talks about", he may not even dream of you get followers by following people back. Like some people think "what matter is the result not it's means".
